THANK YOU for your interest in sharing your expertise with our conference attendees! We are looking for presentations in the areas of EDUCATOR WELLNESS for Wednesday, June 10, 2020. The theme is intentionally broad, so be creative. What do busy professionals need to maintain their sanity? What habits need to be developed for self-care? How can we best connect with others to develop a supportive community? Depending on the number of accepted proposals, we may ask you to present the same session twice. As a conference, we strive to continually try new things in order to improve, so we are open to new ideas on how you want to present your material. You can give a lecture, host a workshop, facilitate a discussion, or come up with something new. This is not a paid gig; however, we will provide registration fees and meals for the full two days of the conference ($325 value) as our token of appreciation.
Deadline for proposals is Friday, February 21, 2020. Notifications will be sent out the first week of March.
BACK by POPULAR DEMAND: In an effort to maximize the learning experience for attendees and to help support individuals who want to implement new ideas they learned at Directions, we are partnering with TeachIllinois to extend some of our sessions virtually beyond the Conference. This is optional and voluntary. There are no set rules for this; we will collaborate with you individually after your acceptance to determine the best fit for everyone involved. We will be looking to transfer some of the best presentations from the conference into online courses.
