Directions 2019 is looking for high quality presenters to share their insight from the field. If you have a message to share or a program to celebrate, we hope you will apply to present a breakout session to our audience on June 12, 2019. Proposals should be informative, relevant, encourage opportunities for engagement, and/or demonstrate application. They can be presentations, demonstrations, workshops, discussions, or any other format. The Planning Committee is currently seeking proposals for one- or two-hour sessions in the following strands:
Trauma-Informed Schools / ACES Trauma knows no boundaries and does not discriminate. Inclusive Learning / Inclusive Leadership How can we ensure that schools recognize everyone? School Programs Does your school or district have a program that supports students and/or staff affected by trauma? Please share! Facility Security How do you keep students physically safe while they're at school? SEL/Mindfulness What are effective ways to support students and adults? Digital Safety Tips and tricks for ensuring safety and good citizenship while online
BACK by POPULAR DEMAND: In an effort to maximize the learning experience for attendees and to help support individuals who want to implement new ideas they learned at Directions, we are partnering with TeachIllinois to extend some of our sessions virtually beyond the Conference. This is optional and voluntary. There are no set rules for this; we will collaborate with you individually after your acceptance to determine the best fit for everyone involved.
